The ASCII text import wizard Data type page allows you to select the type of data you wish to import via ASCII text format. You can choose from the following options.
•Ingredient data or
•Point of Sales (POS) data.

Importing Ingredient data
Selecting this data type will allow you to import ingredients and their details including purchase cost into your database.
Importing Product Sales (POS) data
Selecting this data type will allow you to import Point of sales data into your database, which you can then use to calculate menu engineering figures.
Choose which type of data you wish to import and click the "Next" button. This will take you to the Source File Page.
