The ingredient defaults preferences property page allows you to select the default settings for your ingredient purchase and usage quantities.
Choose from the drop lists to select the units and quantities you wish to make your defaults. Whatever you choose will appear as the default each time you create a new ingredient. For more information see the topic on the General details page of the Ingredient form.
