From the numeric format preferences property page, enter the relevant information relating to any of the following preferences.
Display decimal places for General numbers
Choose how many decimal places you wish to be shown for general numbers.
Display decimal places for Currency values
Choose how many decimal places you wish to be shown for currency values.
Display decimal places for small currency values
Currency values smaller than a particular value can be displayed to a higher precision than regular currency values.

Special case for small currency values
Enter the maximum value for this to take effect and choose how many decimal places for anything smaller than the trigger value. See the following image.
