There are several differences between menus and functions.
•Menus are generally designed to remain fixed for a set period of time whereas functions are normally designed for a one off event.
•Menus contain a wider range of items (such as main courses), whilst functions usually contain fewer options.
•Functions are generally costed on a per cover basis as you know in advance the number of covers required, whereas menus are for recurring day to day trade with numbers unknown until the end of the day's trading.
