The General Details page of the Recipe Dialog (see diagram below) lets you edit/manipulate all of the required information on a recipe.

 

Each of the fields within this page is discussed in detail below.

 

 

Name

 

This is where you enter the name of your recipe.

 

Note: Each recipe within a Resort Recipe database must have a unique name.  The program will not permit you to create two recipes with the same name.

 

Description

 

This field lets you enter a brief description of the recipe .  You can enter any text into this field, but generally it should be information which augments the name of the recipe .

 

Author's name

 

Enter the name of the recipe's author here.  This name will appear on many of the recipe reports giving credit for the recipe where it is due.

 

Author's email address

 

If you have an email address for the recipe's author, just enter it here.  This lets you keep pertinent author contact information 'with' the recipe.  Resort Recipe will display this email address in a clickable link in the Recipe page.

 

Author's WWW address

 

If you have a WWW address for the recipe's author, just enter it here.  This lets you link off to the author's web site from the Recipe page.

 

Category

 

This list box shows all of the categories that the current recipe is associated with. (Category associations are useful for grouping recipe together into logical groups for printing and searching purposes.)

 

This box lists all categories which can support recipe associations. You can check one or more categories to associate the current recipe with those selected categories.

 

New categories can be created from within this page by clicking the button (see below).

 

Notes

 

You can type any miscellaneous notes into this text field.  They will be printed with the recipe detail reports.

 

Category button -

 

Click this button to edit or create categories from within this dialog box.  Resort Recipe will display the Category dialog from which you make your category additions/modifications.
