To recover a backup simply copy and paste the saved backup database file onto your computer's hard drive and then from the Start screen, select the Open an existing database link. You will then need to Browse your way to wherever you saved the database on your hard drive, select the database and click "Open". Your database should now open within the program.

 

NOTE 1: Do not use the Import Wizard to recover a backup.

 

NOTE 2: It is recommended that you do not open a database from an external source, such as memory sticks, CD, or DVD. You will get far better performance if you copy the file to your computer's hard drive and open it from there.
