To create a new category copying the details from another category:-

 

 

First you will need to open the Category form.

 

This can be done by choosing one of the following methods:

 

•Click on the  toolbar button        or

 

•Select Forms->Categories from the menu bar                or

 

•Click on the icon on the left-hand browser pane of your database form.

 

 

Select the category that you wish to copy from the Category Browser.

 

Use one of the following methods to copy the selected category:

 

•Click on the toolbar button        or

 

•Select Record->Copy from the menu bar        or

 

•Hit the F3 shortcut key.

 

Fill in the details of the new category, remembering to change the name from that of the existing category.  More help on this can be found in the Category form topic.

 

Save any changes you have made by using one of the following methods:

 

•Click on the toolbar button        or

 

•Select Record->Save from the menu bar        or

 

•Hit the F9 shortcut key.

 

 

NOTE: No two categories are permitted the same name in a Resort Bistro database.  If you try to create a category with the name of a category that already exists, Resort Bistro will display an error message.
