To delete an existing category:-

 

 

First you will need to open the Category form.

 

This can be done by choosing one of the following methods:

 

•Click on the  toolbar button        or

 

•Select Forms->Categories from the menu bar                or

 

•Click on the icon on the left-hand browser pane of your database form.

 

 

Select the category you wish to delete from the Category Browser.

 

Use one of the following methods to delete the selected category:

 

•Click on the  toolbar button        or

 

•Select Record->Delete from the menu bar        or

 

•Select the category within the category browser and hit the "Delete" key on your keyboard        or

 

•Hit the F4 shortcut key.

 

 

Resort Bistro will ask if you wish to delete the category. Choose the appropriate response.

 

The category which you have deleted will now be removed from the list.

 

NOTE 1: If you delete a category it will be lost permanently.  

 

NOTE 2: If the category you are trying to delete is used in association with a recipe or ingredient, Resort Bistro will not allow you to delete the selected category, and an error message will be displayed.
