Upgrading from a previous version

Resort Software issues updates quite regularly for all of our products.  If you have received an update and you wish to load it onto your computer, the program will only load files that have been modified in the newer version.  All data will remain securely on your machine.  In some cases, you may be required to reload the entire program but more often than not, only a small number of files will need to be upgraded to bring your current version of the program up to the latest version.  If you are not sure which build number you are currently running, you can view these details by opening the About dialog.  To see the About dialog, select Help->About Resort Bistro from the main menu bar.  The build and version numbers of the current version will be displayed at the bottom of the dialog.

Upgrades are available from our web site for download and are updated regularly, so it is a good idea to have a look for any new upgrades every couple of months. See the topic on contacting Resort Software for all available contact details.

To see if you are running the latest version of Resort Bistro, select Help->Online program updates from the menu bar.  Resort Bistro will launch the Online Update Dialog which will check with the Resort Software web server to see if there is a newer version of the program available.

If there is a newer release available you will be taken directly to the appropriate page on the Resort Software web site, from which you can download the latest version of the program.

It is possible to upgrade from a previous version by one of the following methods:

Installing from a CD-ROM        or

Installing from a downloaded upgrade patch.

For more help on installation, see the topic on Install wizard.
