Backup/restore/transfer data

Backing up and restoring your Resort Restaurant database is made easier by the fact that each database is stored as a single Microsoft Access file with our unique .RSD file extension.

NOTE: Do not use Export Wizard to back up your data.

NOTE: Resort Software recommends the implementation of regular backups. We suggest backing up your data at least once a week. However, if you have done a large amount of work in one sitting, we suggest backing up straight away.

It is also possible to do a temporary snapshot of your database prior to making any major changes by using the database snapshot facility. For more information see the topic on the database snapshot.
