To create a new function copying the details from another function:-

 

First you will need to open the Function form.

 

This can be done by choosing one of the following methods:

 

•Click on the  toolbar button        or

 

•Select Forms->Functions from the drop-down menus                or

 

•Click on the icon on the left-hand browser pane of your database form.

 

 

Select the function that you wish to copy from.

 

Use one of the following methods to copy the selected function:

 

•Click on the toolbar button        or

 

•Select Record->Copy from the drop-down menus        or

 

•Hit the F3 shortcut key.

 

Fill in the details of the new function, remembering to change the name from that of the existing function.  More help on this can be found in the Function form topic.

 

Save any changes you have made by using one of the following methods:

 

•Click on the toolbar button        or

 

•Select Record->Save from the drop-down menus        or

 

•Hit the F9 shortcut key.

 

 

NOTE: No two functions are permitted the same name in a Resort Restaurant database.  If you try to create a function with the name of a function that already exists, Resort Restaurant will display an error message.
