To delete an existing unit:-

 

First you will need to open the Unit form.

 

This can be done by choosing one of the following methods:

 

•Click on the  toolbar button        or

 

•Select Forms->Units from the menu bar        or

 

•Click on the icon on the left-hand browser pane of your database form.

 

Select the unit you wish to delete from the Unit Browser.

 

Use one of the following methods to delete the selected unit:

 

•Click on the  toolbar button        or

 

•Select Record->Delete from the menu bar        or

 

•Select the unit within the unit browser and hit the "Delete" key on your keyboard        or

 

•Hit the F4 shortcut key.

 

Resort Restaurant will ask you if you wish to the delete the selected unit.  Choose the appropriate response.

 

The unit which you have deleted will now be removed from the list.

 

NOTE 1: If you delete a unit it will be lost permanently.  

 

NOTE 2: If the unit you are trying to delete is used in association with a recipe or ingredient, Resort Restaurant will not allow you to delete the selected unit, and an error message will be displayed.

 

NOTE3: Some units are automatically created with a new database and they are flagged as 'system' units.  Resort Restaurant always expects those system units to exist, so you will not be permitted to delete them.
