Resort Restaurant has facilities to let you email recipes in the form of RXF or Zipped RXF files to other people.  As well as sending recipes in this form, you may well receive recipes in ZIP files from someone else yourself.  The program lets you open such ZIP files directory from the File Menu and will handle the contents of the ZIP file appropriately.

Resort Restaurant also lets you take periodical snapshots of your database.  These snapshots compress and copy your database into a ZIP file.  The program lets you open these files directly from the File Menu and will open a ZIP file, extract the recipe database in the file and then open the recipe database.
