<< Click to Display Table of Contents >> Navigation: How and where is information stored? > File Preferences Dialog > Miscellaneous preferences property page |
From the miscellaneous preferences property page, check the box beside any of the following preferences you wish to enable.
Display company trading name in window headers
If the box is not checked to indicate you would like the trading name in the window headers, the Company Name will be inserted in all window headers instead.
Automatically save database changes (AutoSave)
If Autosave is enabled, Resort Bistro will not show any prompts, but will automatically save any changes that you make. You can enable/disable AutoSave for an individual form if this option is disabled by toggling the AutoSave button from the Record toolbar. This will enable AutoSave only for the one form and will not affect other open forms.
Recycle forms
Check this box if you only want one of any specific form open at any time. You can look in the activated window list in the window menu to see what forms are open. If Recycle forms is disabled, opening a form will open a new form, even if a form of the same type is already open.
Prompt to filter records when opening forms
Check this box if you wish to be able to filter records each time you open a form. If this is disabled, all records will be displayed in the browser pane of the newly opened form. To filter when this tool is disabled you will need to click the button at the top of the current browser pane.
Enable quick editing for ingredients and recipes
Check this box if you wish to be able to launch a quick edit dialog from within a form. Rather than being taken directly to the item in a different form, this enables you to edit in place and save the changes. For more information on quick editing, see the following topics.
Enable Audit Trail
Check this box if you wish the program to produce an Audit trail. This will force the program to remember all items that have been viewed or edited, when they were edited and by which user. See the topic on the Audit Trail dialog.
Verbose Audit Trail
Check this box if you wish the program to produce a verbose audit trail. This is a more detailed version of the audit trail, telling what has been modified and viewed with more specific details.
