How do I copy an ingredient?
<< Click to Display Table of Contents >> Navigation: Tutorials > Ingredients > How do I copy an ingredient? |
1. | Open a database (if one isn't already open). |
2. | Select Ingredients from the View menu, or click the toolbar button. This will display the Ingredient page. |
3. | Next, select the ingredient that you wish to copy from, from the ingredient browser list and then click the Copy button in the Ingredient page on the right (see diagram below), or... |
...alternatively, click the right mouse button on the ingredient you wish to copy from in the ingredient browser list on the left and then select the Copy this ingredient to a new ingredient... option from the resulting popup menu (see diagram below).
Resort Chef will then display the Ingredient dialog. The dialog will contain all of the information of the ingredient you originally selected.
4. | Make whatever changes you wish to the ingredient details and click the OK button to save those changes. See the topic titled Ingredient dialog for more information on filling out an ingredient's details. |
NOTE: Each ingredient within a Resort Chef database must have a unique name. If you attempt to create a new ingredient (by copying from an already existing ingredient), you must change the name of the new ingredient before the program will let you save it.
5. | Repeat from step 3 above to copy another ingredient. |
