How do I associate allergens with ingredients?

You can associate one or more allergens with a single ingredient in the General Details tab of the Ingredient Form.

In that form, there is a check list of allergens. Just check the allergen(s) that you wish to associate with the current ingredient.

NOTE: After associating (or linking) allergens with ingredients, you MUST run the Regenerate Allergen Dependencies option from the Tools menu.

This will verify that all recipes, menus or functions using any ingredients you have changed are updated to show their allergen associations.

You don't need to do this after changing each ingredient, but it must be run at least once after you modify any ingredient/allergen associations.
