The Recipe Batch Unit Conversion dialog lets you convert recipe ingredient units from one style to another. That is, you can convert ingredient units in recipes from say American units (pounds, ounces, etc) to metric units (kilograms, litres, etc).
To convert unit styles in one or more recipes, first select wither Metric, British, or American from the Convert units to group box.
Next, select which recipes are to be converted.
•This recipe only - Only the recipe currently shown in the Recipe dialog is converted.
•The Current Set of recipes - Converts all recipes currently listed in the Recipe browser pane of the Recipe page. (The actual recipes listed in this browser are determined by your selections in the Recipe Selection Filter dialog.)
•All recipes - All recipes in the current database will be converted to the selected unit style.
Click the OK button and Resort Chef will proceed to convert the unit styles.
NOTE 1: When converting unit styles, Resort Chef will also adjust the ingredient quantities to suit the new unit style. E.g. If there are 10 ounces of Flour in a recipe, converting to metric units will change the flour entry to a 283.5 gram portion.
NOTE 2: Resort Chef performs exact conversions on ingredient units. E.g. The program will convert form '1 ounce', to '28.35 grams' when converting from British to metric units. The program makes no attempt to 'round' these ingredient quantities.
This dialog box is displayed by clicking the button in the Component Ingredients Page of the Recipe dialog.
