The Resort Chef screen

Title Bar

 

The title bar shows the application's name and the title of the current view in the main work area window.

 

Menu Bar

 

The menu bar has a number of pull-down menus to let you access the program's many functions. See The Resort Chef menu bar for a detailed description of each of these menu functions.

 

Tool Bar

 

The toolbar provides a number of buttons to access the programs functions. Each toolbar button corresponds to a menu bar pull-down menu option. The toolbar buttons, which can be customized, are discussed in detail in the topic titled toolbars.

 

Shortcut Bar

 

The shortcut bar, along with some of the toolbar buttons, controls what information is displayed in the main work area. The operation of the shortcut bar is described in detail in the topic titled Shortcut Bar.

 

Status Bar

 

The status bar shows various aspects of the program's status.

 

Main work area

 

The main work area of the Resort Chef screen is where it all really happens. All ingredient, recipe, menu, and supplier information and reports are shown in this region of the main application window. What actual information shown in this region is controlled by your selection in the Shortcut Bar and some of the buttons in the Tool Bar.
