How do I update ingredient prices?

Ingredient prices can be updated by one of the following methods:

 

From the Ingredient Costs form        or

From the Cost/Price page of the Ingredient form        or

From the Ingredient costs page of the Category form                or        

From the Ingredient costs page of the Supplier form                or

From the Purchase details page of the Invoice form.

 

Updating ingredient costs from the Ingredient Costs form

 

The Ingredient Costs form represents a 'one-stop shop' for updating ingredient costs. You can list ingredients alphabetically, by supplier, or by category in this form to edit their prices.

 

Updating ingredient costs from the Cost/Price page of the Ingredient form

 

This method is best used when you are creating a new ingredient and wish to enter all the details of the ingredient at once.  See the topic on the General Details page of the Ingredient form.

 

Updating ingredient costs from the Ingredient costs page of the Category form

 

This method is best used when you wish to update the ingredient prices of those assigned to a particular category.  It is possible, from this form, to maintain all ingredient prices within the category.  See the topic on the Ingredient costs page of the Category form.

 

Updating ingredient costs from the Ingredient costs page of the Supplier form

 

This method is best used when you have a new price list from a supplier.  From this page you can update all ingredient prices relating to a particular supplier at once.  See the topic on the Ingredient costs page of the Supplier form.

 

Updating ingredient costs from the Purchase details page of the Invoice form

 

This method is best used when you have an invoice from a supplier that you need to enter.  From this page you can update ingredient costs as you purchase them.  See the topic on the Purchase details page of the Invoice form.
