Merge duplicate ingredients. You might find you have two differently named ingredients that are in fact the same item. This can happen when import from someone else'e database or when more than one person works on a single recipe database and two identical ingredients are created but with different names.

The ingredient merge option lets you select any numner of identical ingredients and the program will replace all instances of each ingredient in recipes, menus, etc with a single selected ingredient. The program will also optionally delete the unused ingredients after the merge is complete.
