The Tools Menu gives you access to all of the program's tools. Each of these functions is listed below.
NOTE: Many of the Resort Chef menu options have corresponding buttons on the program's toolbars. If a menu option below, has an associated toolbar button, that button is shown beside the option's description.
Tools menu options
License...
Displays the License dialog box. After purchasing Resort Chef, you enter your license key into this dialog to license the program permanently.
Case Wizard...
Launches the Resort Chef Case Wizard. Case Wizard will convert all or selected text in your database to all upper case, all lower case, or all proper case. This tool is handy when several people have been working on a database and some item names are in all capitals whilst others are all lower case.
Replace...
Launches the Resort Chef Replacement Wizard. This wizard lets you search and replace one item of data with another in your recipe database. For instance you could replace all occurrences of one ingredient with another in all or selected recipes.
Batch Calculate...
Displays the Batch Calculation dialog to perform a batch calculation of recipe and menu costs. See How do I calculate recipe costs?.
Batch Unit Conversion...
Displays the Batch Unit Conversion dialog to convert ingredient units in recipes from one style to another. i.e. converts from British units to their Metric equivalent. See How do I convert ingredient units in recipes?
Database Integrity...
Displays the Database Integrity dialog box and performs a database integrity test on a Resort Chef database.
