The Menu dialog is where menus are created or modified. This dialog is in the form of a property sheet which has a number of individual property pages. Each property page presents different details of the menu being created or modified.

 

•General Details Page - Displays general information on the menu such as it's name, description, and category assignments.

•Component Recipes Page - Lists/edits the courses and recipes used by the menu.

•Mise-en-place Page - Displays the structure of the recipes used by the menu (including sub-recipes) and also lists total ingredient and sub-recipe requirements to produce the menu.

•Market List Page - Presents a complete break-down of all ingredients required to produce the menu. You can edit individual ingredient quantities before generating supplier orders from this list.

 

Displaying the Menu dialog

 

The Menu dialog can be launched from a number of different locations:-

 

•Clicking the Edit button in the Menu page.

 

•Double clicking a menu in the menu browser list.

•Right clicking a menu in the menu browser and selecting the Edit this menu... option from the resulting popup menu.
